Diego Maradona was highly regarded as a soccer legend, died at the age of 60 from a heart attack. It is known that he was home when he suffered from the heart attack reported his acquaintances. Later, his lawyer confirmed the news death.

Leading Argentina to World Cup glory in 1986 and adored in Italy for taking Napoli to two Serie A titles, Diego was a very talented and a uniquely gifted player who managed to take the country’s name soaring in the sky. He is the epitome of success as he rose from the streets from Buenos Aires only to follow his passion of soccer and without a doubt was the most beloved.
Maradona was one of the two joint winners of the FIFA Player of the 20th Century award. He had an eye for the goal and was very precisely known to be the free-kick specialist. ‘El Pibe de Oro’, translated as ‘The Golden Kid’ was a nickname given to him because of his extraordinary skills.
Recently, Diego has been through a couple of surgeries battling with health issues and when through an emergency surgery after being diagnosed subdural haematoma several weeks ago.
Started with the Argentinos Juniors:
As a kid, Maradona was keenly interested in playing soccer. At the young age of eight, he would be spotted playing in his neighbourhood club Estrella Roja. After a while, he became the staple of Los Cebollitas (The Little Onions), the junior team of Buenos Aires’s Argentinos Juniors.
Manadora’s Club Career
- Argentinos Juniors and Boca Juniors: On 20 October 1976, Maradona entered the pitch wearing a number 16 jersey and won hearts of people by becoming the youngest player in the history of Argentine Primera División. From 1976 to 1981, Maradona spent five years at Argentinos Juniors, scoring 115 goals in 167 appearances before his transfer to Boca Juniors. After signing a contract with Boca Juniors, he made his debut where he scored twice in the club’s 4–1 win.
- Barcelona: Maradona was transferred to Barcelona in Spain won the Copa del Rey. Maradona had a difficult tenure in Barcelona as he was ill and has sevral injuries.
- Napoli: At Napoli, Maradona reached the peak of his professional career— becoming an adored star among the club’s fans. Despite being successful in his professional life in Napoli, his personal problems started to rise.
- Sevilla, Newell’s Old Boys and Boca Juniors: Leaving Napoli, he came to Sevilla in spite of having offers from Real Madrid and Marseille and stayed there for a year. He played for Newell’s Old Boys in 1933 whereas in the year 1995 he returned to Boca Juniors for a two-year stint.
